«Yes! It's me! I can do it!»
That was the reaction when I presented CanDoo.
Hans-Petter Moen He had previously run an event agency together with a partner. Now he was going to start on his own – with a new company and a new name.
The brief was quite clear; the company was to appear highly creative, while at the same time convey that they are capable of delivering most anything in the field of events.
They are simply supposed to get things done.
That's why CanDoo.
The name of course plays on the word «can do» – the ability and willingness to carry out tasks. But for me, the name also conveys an attitude: Take on the challenge. We'll figure it out!
And the entrepreneur recognized exactly that attitude in himself at once.
I like names that don't have to describe exactly what a company delivers. CanDoo doesn't say «event». It instead tells something about who the company wants to be.
When you start over, maybe that's exactly what a new name should do.
Don't just tell what you're doing today – but also give space for what you're going to become.
Thank you very much for the exciting assignment. I think the logo designed by Magnus Lia hit right in the middle of the target.
